Tim Hildebrandt has passed away
| It's so sad write this words for the second time. Tim Hildebrandt , Greg 's brother, illustrator of the first book of Terry Brooks , the Sword of Shannara , has passed away three days ago, the 11/6/2006 , at 67 years old .
His family released an official statement:
Tim Hildebrandt has passed away. And, with him, so has an era.
Tim, 67, died today from complications due to diabetes. He is survived by his mother Germaine, twin brother Greg, sister Janie, wife Rita, son Charles, nieces Mary and Laura, and nephew Gregory.
Tim was an otherworldly artist. For 47 years, his captivating work fostered the dreams and fantasies of millions of fans, young and old.
| Best known as part of the Brothers Hildebrandt team, Tim’s career transported him to—and through—many worlds. Technically speaking, Tim and Greg worked side by side. But their work together on such masterpieces as the original Star Wars poster and 70’s J.R.R. Tolkien calendars proved that their individual talents could coalesce seamlessly into one.
Tim was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor. While he loved and appreciated all forms of art, he had a particular passion for animation and illustration.
While he will be greatly missed by all of us who love him, we take comfort knowing that he will live on in the art that he created.

You can see his works on his offical web site, www.brothershildebrandt.com . With his brother have made the first pictures of the world of Shannara . I would remember he like in the photo, always smiling, maybe working on another best picture.
Following there is the cover of the Sword of Shannara, the picture that have made me and other fans bought the book, several years ago.

About this blog - A short story
From 2 years there aren't been a lot of sorgentedelcielo.it 's updates. This is because was more difficult search and found new original pictures, and because 2 years ago someone stealed my notebook, with all my work and a new english version of the website.
Later, when i bough a new pc, i found myself unable to make new updates because the University Residence , were i live, has locked all the type of connection to other server, including my FTP' server..
So, the website was mute for a lot of time, until now.
Yesterday was born two blogs, sorgentedelcielo.ilcannocchiale.it and heavenswell.ilcannocchiale.it , one in italian and one in english, that will be used like dinamic News Pages of sorgentedelcielo.it . Here will be post all the new pictures and informations. Unlike the old static news, now is possible post comments, review and guidance . More, you can use an aggregator to follow the update of the site, simply using this XML link: 
Logistic Problems There are two problem with this platform:
- From 3 am to 6 am (with GMT +1h ) this platform switch off the servers.
- The pictures will be only of 100 kb , so a bit of quality will be loose.
However, this platform is the most simple, serious and sure that i have found. I hope to use often this blog, posting new original pictures.

About the english version..i don't know when i re-translate all the website. My actual work and my studyes take away a lot of time from me. I'm sorry.
